out the 5 people i asked only 2 people pay attention to united in the media, the reason they pay attention is becuase:
-local team,
- can watch on setanta
-supporter of team watch them every now and again

the reasonwhy the others dont is becuase:
- they have lived away of the town most of their life so pay attention to their local club when they was young.
-interested in premiership better standard bigger stage

Advantages.
- Mixed opinions of subject
- Lots of feedback
- 5 differenyt opinions
- after one point is made it allows other people to say if the agree or disagree and why, meaning get better feedback because everyones opinion can lead to another opinion or comment.

disadvantages
-easy to trail off the comments and talk about something else
- hard to note down everyones opinion at once as everyone has something to say or is saying something

I am looking at the difference in publicity that Women in football recieve compared to the Men.The Research methods I have used so far are.

Secondary Research:-Search Engines
-Websites

Primary Research: -Textual Analysis

The most helpful so far has been search engines and the websites as I have been able to get a wide range of sites that are linked with the topic. The other methods that i am going to use are teh interview asI have already got a contact for a an expert in the area. I Am also going search for books and sport magazines in particular. Whilst using primary research such as Message Boards and Focus Groups.

I have used 2 methods so far. I have used the internet on a couple of sites including barb.com, bbc.co.uk and thefa.com. I have found blogs on bbc.co.uk with a lot of useful information and barb.com with further research i can look at particular sales figures at particular times of the year.
I have also emailed the bbc with questions about sales figures over euro competition periods, they replied but with little help.

I am looking to use newspapers, magazines, books, questionnaires, interviews and message boards to help my research.

useful was the interview with heather, she provided plenty of information and has said she is free to offer more help when it is needed.

i will also use questionnaire and interview, a focus group and post message on message board, i will also find some books and a search engine to add to my research method.

Im looking at moto gp as a sport, i dont have main question but im just trying to find out what the reasons people choose to watch this sport and why they choose to be interested in it. but i have another question is women and motorsports ? and why they arnt inolved as much. ive used primary and secondary research so far such as emailing the presenter of it, books, internet, mssage boards im guna look at some biker magizines and newspapers to.

I am doing about hooliganism in sport, concentrating on football mainly. Hooliganism is a criteria in sport which is highly frowned upon, however not many people know a lot of information or doing anything about it. From the past few weeks or research i have noticed that there are a lot or articles written about this subject however they all mostly say the same sort of stuff, talking about how bad hooliganism is and the costs/damages which has happened. I have also noticed that many websites have archives from vital moments in football from the past 10 or so years covering a number of different world cups and Euro cup games. This allows me to see the hooliganism in the past years and how its changed in comparison to the violence these days.

There are a lot of different football violence films out at the moment which show the main part of hooliganism following the background story of peoples' lives; films such as: Green Street Hooligans, The Football Factory, I.D, and The Firm. Many people think that these films are too far-fetched and it cannot possibly be true, but many of them are based on a lot of true stories which have been told by word of mouth and combined into one.

Evidence that the Games had caught the British public's imagination was clear from the Opening Ceremony when 10.2m viewers (48.5 per cent) tuned in to see Team GB's entrance into the Olympic Stadium.

The largest figure for a live sporting event at the Olympics, so far, was for Paula Radcliffe's run in the 10,000m when 12.8m viewers (56.7%) watched her try and make amends for her disappointment in the marathon.

Nearly eleven million (10.7m; 59.8%) people were watching when Paula dropped out of the marathon.

Kelly Holmes' 800 metres gold medal winning performance drew 8.8m (41.3%) and her 1,500 metres win attracted 10m (56.4%).

Team GB's gold in the 4x100 metres men's relay final was seen by 11.3m (58.2%) and the climax of the evening was the men's 4x400 metres relay final, watched by 11.7m (56.7%).

But viewers were not just tuning in to see the athletics and swimming, which had a peak of 4.9m (23%).

Other highlights included Amir Khan's boxing semi-final which was seen by 7.4m (39.8%). Figures for his brave silver medal winning performance are still to be released.

Matthew Pinsent's outpouring of emotions in the coxless four rowing medal ceremony attracted 5.1m (63.5%) viewers at 9.00am.

Viewers were attracted by a diverse range of events, and it was not just restricted to successful Team GB events.

Hockey attracted 6.3m (23.7%) and gymnastics had a peak audience of 6.2m (19.1%).

The peak figure for table tennis was 5.9m (24%) and Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson, who took silver in the mixed badminton final, drew 4.5m (30.2%).

Team GB's first medal of the Games, a silver in the 10m synchronised diving won by Leon Taylor and Peter Waterfield, was watched by 4.4m (23%).
